This week I find myself with nothing much to say. I’ve normally been messing around with some new tech thing, or have a project I want to write about but not this week. Well nothing that’s ready to write about properly. I have the threads of a number of different things on the go and when I look back I have achieved quite a bit. So this is a reminder to myself that I have actually done something with my time.

I’ve added another Lenovo Thinkcentre M93p to my setup. It’s the same spec as the others with the exception of having a 480GB SSD. I’m using it as a Proxmox virtualisation server. This is the first node and I’ll be re-purposing one of the other machines to be a second. I’ve been playing with vlans in conjunction with my pfsense box which took a surprising amount of time to get working how I wanted. I’ve been trying out a couple of distros, Arch and Alpine as VMs on proxmox. I’m also planning on trying out FreeBSD. That didn’t make it this week but I’ve read good things. One of the biggest time sucks for the week though has been trying out a few different streaming event and messaging platforms for upcoming projects. That’s it. Not bad for a week really.
